Vibe games: 2,598 likes for the jeer, a handful you can play

Vibe games, read 29 September 2026: Wildbrush at 4,362 likes, a nine-word jeer at 2,598, and 91 games in the Axie Vibeathon hub.

On 27 September 2026 Danny Limanseta sat down with his two boys and an AI and finished Wildbrush, a desktop adventure whose weapon is a paintbrush. The post drew 4,362 likes. The next morning a nine-word refusal drew 2,598.

A vibe game is a playable game whose maker says an AI wrote most of the code. The paintbrush is the useful specimen. Red burns, blue freezes, yellow bounces, green grows vines, and once you light four crystals the brush becomes a thing you can fly. Two biomes, three dungeons, a cave, thirty enemies, one boss. He built it on a Saturday because the boys asked for Zelda and then asked for the brush to fly.

You can play it: Wildbrush.

Brian Flynn answered it with one line. "Probably the first vibecoded game I spent more than an hour playing." That sentence is the whole filter. A vibe game that holds you for an hour has left the demo reel.

How did the pile get this big?

The Cursor Vibe Jam 2026 ran from 1 April to 1 May, deadline 13:37 UTC, with a 40,000 dollar prize pool. Sponsors were Cursor, Bolt.new, Glif and Tripo. The rule that makes it a vibe jam: at least 90 percent of the code written by an AI. The jam's own press, updated 29 September 2026, says 945 games were submitted. This catalog lists 2,017 rows from the 2026 jam file.

After 1 May the factory moved. New games show up as a post with a link, and a day or two later in a hub someone else keeps.

The Axie Vibeathon is the hub that is open now. On 24 September the Axie Infinity account said 90 community games were in the Games Hub, most of them in the browser. On 30 September the public hub returned 91 games across eight pages. They are in this catalog. Two you can open from here: Lunacia Command and Angry Axies. The rest sit under the same roof: the Games Hub.

Why is the jeer louder than the game?

The heaven of this week is a father, two boys, and a brush that flies. The noise in the middle is the word used as a slur.

The same morning @sonicstadium, a Sonic news account, answered a port of Knuckles' Chaotix with: "Don't play this, it's reportedly vibe coded and runs like garbage." 2,688 likes. The game in question is a recompile of a 1995 Sega 32X title. The insult does not need the game to be a Saturday toy. Vibe-coded, in that sentence, means don't bother.

Put the two numbers next to the games and the jeer is not a small side comment. It outruns Dodge League. It does not outrun Wildbrush, and it does not come close to the browser game that actually travelled.

Destroy Any Website, by Hugo Duprez, is the picture that travelled. "Destroy any website with a stickman." 55,723 likes and about 41,700 bookmarks, read 29 September. You type an address, a stick figure shoots the page apart, up to six people in one room. It was a Show HN thread the same day. He did not call it a vibe game. It stays in this piece, and it stays off the vibe catalog, because the catalog is for games whose makers claim the word.

The handful you can open this week

These are the posts from the last fortnight where the maker said vibe-coded and left a link that still answers. They are in the catalog.

Writing the games down is one way to become the voice of the scene. We are going to be the world's biggest and best vibegame site.

The next piece is the player who is not a person: virtual players who file tickets for the gamemaster.
